[ She wishes she could prove a point by summoning her mabari in, but Bee didn't follow her on this adventure. Perhaps another time - he must have experience enough with them. She'd heard the stories about the Hero of Ferelden and how they travelled with the to-be King to face the Blight. ]
I assure you, Alistair, if I was pulling your leg you'd know. [ She probably shouldn't flirt with a king, but how could she help herself? ] Go ahead and try it. It's like having a mage friend warm the water just for you ---

['Everyone else in Kirkwall,' he assumes the answer is, but he's never left Ferelden before. And it's not an epithet that has a great deal of currency in Denerim, from what he's seen so far.
But never mind that, he wants to see this hot water of hers. As he's walking into the bathroom, he calls over his shoulder.]

[ Hawke rolls over on the bed, watching him absently. She's curious to see how he reacts to the magic of the bathing chamber they've been given - and, of course, getting to watch a handsome man walk away has never been something she's been loathe to do.
Finally, she sits up again, swinging her legs over and walking to hover at the door. ]
A friend of mine. Mage, Grey Warden, pain in the arse and the best damn healer this side of the Waking Sea.

[Once he's in the bathroom, he gives the tub a look. It's built into the wall, which is interesting enough. And there's the lever, and also a swishy curtain he assumes is merely for privacy. It makes an odd crinkling noise as he brushes past it to reach said lever, unlike any fabric he's seen before. Iiiiiiinteresting.
When water starts hurtling out of a metal...dispenser thingy into the tub, he jumps back in surprise. Water! So much water! And when he hesitantly reaches over to touch the gushing torrent of water, it's warm.]
Andraste's flaming sword--! That's amazing.
[So yeah, he forgot about Anders for the moment. We'll come back to that.]

[ Hawke grins as she watches him explore, a little more wary than she'd been - but she's always been an "action first, think about it later" type of woman. It's what got her into half of the messes she found herself in at home in the first place and she had done her best to not get involved as much here, but... There's only so much you can do.
Of course, his curse has her laughing and she lifts a hand to cover her mouth, gathering herself before she nods. ]
I wonder what other magics they have here - more than what I could've imagined in the Circle.

[There's a certain resignation to his tone, but it's tempered by the lopsided grin he shoots her. Having discovered that he can fill his own bath without the help of a single servant, he turns to the basin and finds more water just waiting to be turned on. Amazing! And there's soap, too, surprisingly white and pleasant-smelling.
Well, time to nose around. He starts opening cupboards and looking in.]
If they can make water warm without any effort, they can probably do it to everything else, too. Are there any levers on the bed?

[ This is all a little hilarious to her, considering that she knows for a fact that most people never get along with the Knight Commander, not even her own Templars. Shifting, though, she abandons him to play around with the taps and levers in the bathroom, shifting down to peek her head under the bed to see if there's anything there. ]
I can't see any. Though, really, what could they possibly do to a bed? [ She pauses before she peeks out, grinning. ] I'll ask Isabela next time I see her. I'm sure she could think of something.
